lava!
Guatemala has 33 volcanoes, 3 of which are active. At the end of March we climbed one of the active ones, Pacaya, and we got to see a river of lava! Our guide told us the climb was 90% safe.

Manana! This is the word that describes the common thought pattern as we discussed via phone today. Acceptance of this might make it less frustating. (Not preaching you know for I never try to teach!) Lava and all do not turn into problems for you, so based on all past experiences you are safe and blessed, so go forth with strength, courage and hope for all good happenings.
No doubt you have read Muriel Sparks's works. She died today and being a convert to Catholism noted her comments that she consider it the only rational religion and felt the beauty in morals.
